About Abigail

Abigail Pribbenow is a woman with curly gray hair and red glasses.

Abigail (she/her) is a celebrant who works with someone who has lost a loved one to create a customized memorial service that celebrates life and marks the passage with grace and love.

This work draws on a passion for ritual, culture, and community. She is comfortable with religion and also eager to craft things anew for those who prefer to steer clear of religious faith. To prepare for this work, she completed InSight Certified Celebrant training, worked as a funeral home assistant with Bradshaw Funeral and Cremation, and served on the steering committee of the Minnesota Death Collaborative.

She is committed to supporting organizations that serve those with a range of lived experience, including 12-step recovery, LGBTQIA+, and other social justice groups. Abigail received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and her M.A. in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a member of and volunteer at a Minneapolis ELCA Lutheran Church, and she grew up attending the Episcopal church.
